This policy lays out the ways With Reason Ltd ("Reason" or "we") uses the data we collect from you whilst you use our web sites: which include but are not limited to withreason.co.uk, reason.co and sls.zone ( "Sites"). By browsing our Sites and submitting information, you agree to our use of such information as we describe it here. We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. We will alert you to any such changes by updating this information.

What personally-identifiable information is collected?

Reason collects personally-identifiable information ("Personal Info") on certain areas of the Sites when you use the Sites, register, request information or a response, sign up for events, apply for jobs, and participate in forums, comments and surveys. It may include your company affiliations and contact information (e.g. name, mailing and e-mail addresses, phone numbers).
Our use of this information uses the Legitimate Interest justification as defined by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) - based on the fact that you share your Personal Info with us for the purposes of using our services or joining our team.

Given that the internet is a global environment, using the internet to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. Therefore, by browsing this website and communicating electronically with us, you acknowledge and agree to our processing of Personal Info in this way.

How may be my personal information used?

Reason uses your Personal Info to fulfill your requests for information, to process your requests to answer enquiries, and to review and consider any employment-related inquiries you submit. We may keep any of your Personal Info on file and use it to contact you for relevant recruitment or marketing purposes. We may also use Personal Info in analyzing Site user behavior. If you do not wish to receive e-mailed, you may change your preferences in the preference centre. Reason uses Personal Info collected from cookies and IP addresses as described below.

Are cookies and IP addresses used?

The Sites use cookies to identify you and your interests and to track usage of the Sites. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. Reason also logs IP addresses, or the location of computers on the Internet, to inform our marketing and recruitment campaigns and to improve our service to you. This process cannot personally identify you, and we do not seek to do so via this information. You can request for certain IP ranges to be excluded from this by writing to us at hello@reason.co and letting us know that you’d like to opt out of IP tracking.

How is my data secured?

Reason uses industry standard processes to PEN and integration test and secure data transferred over our Sites. Any service partners also confirm to GDPR and web standard security practices.

Is personally-identifiable information disclosed to third parties?

Reason will never intentionally disclose (and will take reasonable steps to prevent the accidental disclosure of) your Personal Info to third parties (i.e. persons or entities that are not affiliates of Reason), subject only to the following exceptions:

  • as required or permitted by the laws, rules, and regulations of any nation, state, or other applicable jurisdiction;
  • to deliver information from us to you for the purpose of performing such delivery (e.g. mailchimp, to email you);
  • if, in connection with submitting the information, you consent to such disclosure;
  • in response to inquiries by bona-fide rights owners in connection with allegations of infringement of copyright or other proprietary rights arising from information you have posted on the Sites or otherwise provided to Reason;
  • if Reason merges with or sells substantially all of its assets or a majority of its equity to a third party, information collected by Reason or such affiliates on their Sites may be disclosed to and owned by the merged entity or third party.

How can I access, change and/or delete my information?

You may access, correct, update, and/or delete any Personal Info that you submitted to the Site by following this link or emailing hello@reason.co to clarify your request.

Security

Reason has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect Personal Info from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorized Reason personnel are provided access to Personal Info, and these employees are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions, Reason cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your Personal Info.

Google Analytics

Our Sites use Google Analytics, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.
